About Centre
Known for being an academic hub of excellence right in the heart of our community, Dubai Knowledge Park is an ideal location for a Kumon Centre. Originating in Japan, this unique self-learning method is world renowned, and as one of the pioneers of Kumon in Dubai we are proud to open our doors in January 2022. We will offer individualised Maths and English programs, designed specifically to help your child achieve their maximum academic potential regardless of whichever curriculum they are studying at school.
We welcome students from the age of 6 years and of all abilities, and after an initial assessment, we will set your child’s work at a level that is just right for them. This will enable them to progress successfully towards their learning goals through a combination of daily independent worksheet study and weekly classroom sessions.
With the option of studying either in person at the centre or online through a tablet, we will carefully observe your child’s progress, and guide them to be the best they can be. They will learn to build valuable skills such as self-confidence and independence, which will not only help them in school, but also in their future as adults.
About Instructor
My name is Anjana Sohal, and I am the instructor of the Kumon Dubai Knowledge Park Centre.
I have been a Kumon Instructor since 2015, successfully establishing and running my own centre in the United Kingdom, which was awarded Elite status in the Europe and Africa region for three consecutive years. Having been a Kumon Instructor for the last ten years I have vast experience of helping hundreds of children to reach their maximum potential with the Kumon maths and English programme. This includes helping students excel beyond their school grade level (up to three years or above) and helping them reach completion of the Kumon programmes.
My decision to leave UK and move to Dubai, although for personal reasons was made much easier when the opportunity arose for me to take over the Kumon Dubai Knowledge Park centre. My experience of working as a Kumon Instructor has been extremely rewarding as I have supported students with a diverse range of learning needs. Therefore, I understand the importance of patience and individualised support in helping them flourish in school and beyond. Students have felt more confident to do their schoolwork, be the first to put their hand up in class and attain higher examination marks. Overall, making them happier and smarter individuals. As an instructor it has been heart-warming to see the impact the Kumon method has made on each student from their very first class day to jumping leaps and bounds by reaching new milestones and academic success both in Kumon and their school work.

I would especially like to express my appreciation to Ms. Gayani for her dedication, patience, and encouraging approach towards teaching my 5 year old. Her ability to make learning engaging and enjoyable has had a very positive impact on my child’s attitude towards Maths. It's been more than 3yrs journey with you all and the only thing I can say is Thank you for the wonderful support and encouragement you provide to our child and to every student. We are very happy with our child's progress. All teachers provide constant support through out. In Kumon, what I like is the everyday work which brings consistency and the staffs are very kind and gentle in teaching the kids and my child loves to attend the class. Even during hard times, the worksheets were given in advance in a well organised manner. Thank you so much Ms Anjanna, Ms Gayani, Ms Nirashani and to the entire team for the help and guidance always.
